Josephin domain-containing proteins are deubiquitinating enzymes which catalyze the hydrolysis of the bond between the C-terminal glycine of the ubiquitin peptide and protein substrates. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. |
