The protein binds specifically to the PRDI (positive regulatory domain I element) of the beta-IFN gene promoter. Transcription of this gene increases upon virus induction. Associates with the transcriptional repressor ZNF683 to chromatin at gene promoter regions (By similarity). |

Immunofluorescence: Paraformaldehyde fixed A431 cells permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Cells were stained with ARG63474 anti-PRDM1 / Blimp 1 antibody (green) at 10 µg/ml dilution for 1 hour. DAPI (blue) for nuclear staining. Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (green) at 10 µg/ml dilution.
