Background
Beta-amyloid is a 40-43 amino acid peptide cleaved from amyloid precursor protein, and a putative gamma-secretase. Amyloid beta (1-40) together with Amyloid beta (1-42) are two major C-terminal variants of the amyloid beta protein, constituting the majority of amyloid beta proteins. Both the amyloid beta (40) and amyloid beta (42) alloforms are major components of the extracellular plaques found in Alzheimer's disease brain tissue.

Sandwich ELISA analysis of Beta Amyloid 1-40 by ARA6836 & ARA6798
Microtiter plates were coated with ARA6836 as the capture antibody.
Recombinant Beta Amyloid 1-40 protein (Cat. AXP6616) was applied as the antigen. Peroxidase conjugated Beta Amyloid 1-40 Antibody (ARA6798) served as the detection antibody.
Result: ARA6836 and ARA6798 can be used as a matched antibody pair to detect and quantify the concentration of Beta Amyloid 1-40.
