Background
β-Amyloid (1-40), Iowa mutation is a biologically active peptide. (Several mutations in the beta amyloid precursor gene lead to autosomal dominant Alzheimer's disease in many families. Iowa mutations (where Asp 23 is replaced by Asn) are associated with severe brain amyloid vascular disease (CAA). The affected individuals have a missense mutation at APP 694. The mutated beta-amyloid peptides accumulate faster and form toxic fibrils

Sandwich ELISA analysis of Beta Amyloid 1-40 by ARA6889 & mouse anti-Beta Amyloid 1-40 monoclonal antibody .
Microtiter wells were coated with ARA6889 as the capture antibody. Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 1-40 of human beta amyloid was used as the antigen. Peroxidase conjugated mouse anti-Beta Amyloid 1-40 monoclonal antibody was used as the detection antibody.
Result: ARA6889 and mouse anti-Beta Amyloid 1-40 monoclonal antibody can be used as a matched antibody pair to detect and quantify the concentration of Beta Amyloid 1-40.
