Product Details
Background
Avian influenza virus NP is a highly conserved structural protein, serving as a core component of the viral ribonucleoprotein complex. It is responsible for encapsidating the viral genomic RNA, protecting it from host nuclease degradation, and mediating key processes in viral replication and assembly. Due to its low sequence variability across diverse avian influenza subtypes (including H1, H3, H6, H9, H10, H12, etc.), NP becomes an ideal target for developing broad-spectrum research tools and intervention strategies. Broad-reactive agents targeting avian influenza NP can bind to conserved epitopes of NP, enabling cross-subtype detection, neutralization, or immune activation. This property is crucial for addressing the challenges posed by the constant emergence of new avian influenza subtypes and viral antigenic drift, supporting the development of universal diagnostic reagents, vaccines, and antiviral therapies for avian influenza control.
