Product Details
Background
Broad-Reactive Influenza A NP refers to a molecular entity that exhibits cross-reactivity with the nucleoprotein (NP) of multiple influenza A virus subtypes. Influenza A virus NP is a highly conserved structural protein that plays crucial roles in viral replication and assembly. It encapsidates the viral genomic RNA to form ribonucleoprotein complexes, protecting the genome from host nuclease degradation and mediating intracellular transport of viral components. Due to its low mutation rate across different influenza A subtypes (including H1N1, H3N2, H5N1, H7N9, etc.), NP becomes an ideal target for developing broad-spectrum diagnostic tools, universal vaccines, and antiviral therapies. Broad-reactive agents targeting influenza A NP can recognize conserved epitopes of NP, enabling cross-subtype detection or neutralization of influenza A viruses, which helps address the challenges posed by viral antigenic drift and the emergence of novel subtypes.
