Background
To collect anti-serum for the recombinant Mycobacterium tuberculosis immunogenic protein MPT64, a peptide coding for the 24-228 amino acids was administered to a rabbit. The rabbit serum was then processed using protein G affinity chromatography to produce a 95%+ pure anti-Mycobacterium tuberculosis mpt64 polyclonal antibody. This antibody exhibits reactivity exclusively with Mycobacterium tuberculosis species and has been subjected to quality and functionality testing through ELISA and WB.
