| 产品描述 | P53, also known as tumor antigen p53, acts as a tumor suppressor in many tumor types to induce growth arrest or apoptosis depending on the physiological circumstances and cell type. Involved in cell cycle regulation as a trans-activator that acts to negatively regulate cell division by controlling a set of genes required for this process. One of the activated genes is an inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases. Phosphorylation of p53 at Ser46 is associated with induction of p53AIP1 expression, resulting in commitment to apoptotic cell death. In response to genotoxic and oxidative stresses, p53 phosphorylated Ser-15, Ser-33 and Ser-46 and it leads to accumulation of p53/TP53, particularly in the nucleus, thus inducing the transactivation of p53/TP53 target genes. To study how p53 correct oxidative stresses and apoptosis, antibodies to phosphorylated p53 at Ser33 and Ser46 might be two of the targets of your interest.
