Background
ZAP70 (Zeta Chain Of T Cell Receptor Associated Protein Kinase 70) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 2q11.2. ZAP70 is also known as SRK, STD, TZK, STCD, IMD48, ADMIO2 and ZAP-70. The human ZAP70 gene encodes a 69872 Da protein containing 619 amino acids. The ZAP70 protein is biasedly expressed in lymph node, spleen and other tissues. Among its related pathways are NF-KappaB Family Pathway and TCR Signaling (Qiagen). ZAP70 is related to transferase activity, transferring phosphorus-containing groups and protein tyrosine kinase activity. SYK is an important paralog of ZAP70 gene. ZAP70 is associated with some diseases, including Immunodeficiency 48 and Autoimmune Disease, Multisystem, Infantile-Onset, 2.
